Well here we are. Time to initiate this little board thing, which Night Shade books has kindly set up. I was bugging Mr. Neil Williamson about getting his started. Now it’s my turn.

I live in Yellow Springs, Ohio, via Texas, New York, and Massachusettes. Stories in Third Alternative, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet, Full Unit Hookup, and The Journal of Experimental Fiction, and I’ll have a “letter” in The Thackery T Lambshead Pocket Guide To Eccentric and Discredited Diseases; I have apparently been vilified in the Introduction, for which slight my lawyers will be calling on Dr. Lambshead.

My novella, In Springdale Town, with an introduction by the eloquent Mr. Lucius Shepard is due in April from PS Publishing.

If anyone has read anything of mine and would like to comment, I guess this is the place. If anyone hasn't read anything, but would still like to comment, I won't turn you away.

Robert

Hi Robert,

Love your bread story in TTA, but you already knew that. I'm wondering - where in hell did you come up with the idea?

All I know is that every time I read the bread story I immediately have to run out to the nearest high class bakery and buy something. And, btw, it made Tangent Online's 2002 Recommended Reading List. Congrats.

I, too, am a fan of your bread story, Robert. FYI, it's just been posted on the Fantastic Metropolis website.

Hi Lucius--and I thought you were snubbing me. I don't think I said anything in particular that needed a response.

Hey Timmi. Thanks. I really liked your Leviathan II and III stories. I'd like to read more of your stuff. Isn't it time for a collection?

Robert,

Crazed and clutzy, not a snubber. Under the gun. Deadlines.

Oh, a collection. Yeah-- I'm working on that, honest, I am. But remember my hat collection? I'm sorry to say that my hat for Effective Marketing probably needs some refurbishing.

Hey Robert,

Just finished your story "The Secret Bag" in THE JOURNAL OF EXPERIMENTAL FICTION 24 (Yes, my contributor's copy arrived yesterday as well). What a marvellous (if depressing) story, Robert! Well done!

Hi Robert,

I was wondering how things are going with the project you asked me some questions about.

Hope all is well!

Hi Doug! Was good seeing you too. I wish I'd figured out that you were there before the last day. Are you going back there for World Fantasy?

Perry Sands! Where are you? You didn't leave your email address. You can't just do a drive-by like that!
