Hello, hello!

Well, Nemonymous is brilliant, I'm waiting for #3 with bated breath. Are you going for a May release like #2, or is there hope we might see it earlier?

Best,
Luís

Hi, thanks, Luis. If all goes as smoothly as it is at the moment, it'll be before May. Otherwise not. Being essentially a busker that depends on queues (or do I mean a one man band who depends on his knee cymbals), not making any promises.
21 stories contracted for the next issue all brand new. Des

You heard it here first!
The third part of Nemonymous (planned for May) is not going to called a 'Journal of Parthenogenetic Fiction and Late Labelling' (as the first two parts were).
Nor is it a Magazine or Anthology.
It will be called a Megazanthus (with 21 brand new un-bylined stories from 20 different writers rolling unbroken from page to page).
You possibly didn't want to know that!

I notice a another Board has been set up for Nemonymous here. Please be assured that *this* is the one with the provenance of being a thread on its editor/publisher's Board.

Des, I just got Nemo 1 and 2 in the mail. Your generous special offer has left me in a bind; the fiction contained therein is so excellent that I couldn't possibly pay you as much as it deserves.

Seriously, though (not that I wasn't serious about Nemo being that good), how shall I go about paying you? Money order? And how much would the sticker price be, counting shipping?

Glad you enjoyed it. Tell you what - Nemo~3 (i.e. Part Three of the Megazanthus) is out within the next few weeks, I hope (and it's going to be stunning!), and then I'll let you know the package offer for all three parts of Nemo (I'm not sure yet what it will be, but may depend on number of pre-orders etc. etc.). Anyone else who wants to preorder Nemo~3 (and/or Nemo~1 and/or Nemo~2), please write to me at: nemonymous@hotmail.com

Thanks a lot. Best of luck with Nemo 3. I can't wait to read it, and I'm not even done with 2.:-)

Prize!! In Nemonymous Part Three, two of the twenty-one stories are written by the same writer. The first person (other than that writer!) who can tell me (here on this thread) which two stories are thus written by the same person will win from me an author-signed copy of Swords & Ice Magic by Fritz Leiber.

For later identity verification purposes, when you post the titles of the two stories here, please also join (if you are not already a member) the Nemonymous announcement service at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/veils_and_piques/
and post with your entry the first 5 letters of the email address that you're using there. Otherwise your entry will unfortunately not be able to be considered. Des

Question.
I claim that -- incredible though it may seem -- IN THE HISTORY OF LITERATURE, 'NEMONYMOUS' WAS (in November 2001) THE WORLD'S VERY FIRST EVER SELF-CONTAINED PRINTED COLLECTION OF ANONYMOUS SHORT STORIES WRITTEN BY VARIOUS AUTHORS.
Am I right?

**************

'Megazanthus' (the name for the third part of Nemonymous) is a word coined as a hybrid of 'magazine' and 'anthology'. Furthermore, 'megazanthus' [me-gaza-nth-us] takes us from 'me' to 'us' via infinity ('nth' degree) ... via 'gaza': "Eyeless in Gaza" a novel by Aldous Huxley.
i.e. "I-less".
"Eyeless in Gaza" being a quote from John Milton, Paradise Lost ... Paradise Regained.

Sorry, forget I ever asked the question. It is quite irrelevant to the stories. I get carried away sometime. Put it down to age.

ADVERT:
A Good Marketing Manager required for Nemonymous. Current one has been sacked. Good salary and promotion prospects.

Although I'd like the threads here under the 'DF Lewis' heading to stay put as archives (with quotations galore etc. and in fact the very first posting to any thread that appeared on these Night Shade Boards), I would humbly like any reference to Weirdmonger etc. and my writings to appear, in future, on the set of threads under the heading Nemonymous. This is probably the last time I sign here as 'des'.

There seems some doubt abroad. It's all systems go at Nemonymous HQ for Synapse 5. Looking forward to all submissions. There have been one or two cosmetic amendments to previous wording above but it's all now pretty copper-bottomed.

Thanks, & the page also has a strange link to an article on Catholic Hermits. Until recently, it may be recalled, Google found the 'Praise The Lord - Ministries' site whenever 'Nemonymous' or 'Weirdmonger' were sought engined.
Still chasing the Noumenon?

I don't think I'll be able to commence NEMONYMOUS SIX in the foreseeable future, as the residual stock of Nemonymi is selling very slowly! I have more or less settled in my own mind that I shall have to ditch the boxes of them within the next decade or so - as I don't want them hanging around here after I'm dead!
