I'm looking for a list (and I'm not sure that one exists!) of stories in which people travel into magical books, particularly ones that are part of general cultural knowledge. The only ones I can think of currently are "The Neverending Story" and "Pagemaster," but I'm sure that there are more. Can anyone suggest others? Also if you happen to know which model they work on (book as portal to fairytale world, book world as allegory with direct correspondence to real-world characters, etc.) that would be great. Thanks!

Juliette
