Awhile ago I read a short story that took place at the Mount Washington observatory in a future where it was completely computer controlled. The summary is that one of the characters crashes the computer, which locks the doors, shuts down the heat, and lets the characters freeze!

Does anyone remember the name of the story and its author?

Thanks

I think it could be "The Monkey Wrench" by Gordon Dickson.
