Not directly relevant to the usual "genre" discussions here, but a significant event in terms of American Literature in general. The Partisan Review is shutting down

Is this another sign of the increasing irrelevance of literature in American Society, or is it an example of a Dinosaur that failed to evolve with the times? Or may be it is more simply another casualty of the current budget deficits that are facing state governments across the country (another casualty of the war, so to speak)?
