It may be too early for such a thread, but oh well. Off the top of my head, I'm looking forward to Matt Stover's Caine Black Knife, his first novel since early 2001 without Star Wars on the cover. Also Scott Lynch's debut The Lies of Locke Lamora, and JeffV's Shriek: An Afterward. In terms of fat fantasies, Greg Keyes' The Blood Knight and Scott Bakker's The Thousandfold Thought. David Mitchell's Black Swan Green. Michael Chabon's The Yiddish Policeman's Union. Holly Phillips' The Burning Girl. Richard Morgan's Black Man. Jeff Ford's The Empire of Ice Cream. Russell Hoban's Linger Awhile.

What other exciting stuff is coming in 2006? What have I forgotten or missed? What's not yet been announced? Can Hal Duncan's Ink be expected next year?

Besides the titles you mentioned, here's what's on my ever-growing list:

Secret Lives (collection), Vandermeer
Butlers and Banishings, Ysabeau Wilce
Last Week's Apocalypse (collection), Doug Lain
Map of Dreams (collection), M. Rickert
The Scarlet Gospels, Clive Barker
The Iron Shore (collection from PS Publishing), Lucius Shepard
Fragile Things (collection), Neil Gaiman
Summerlong, Peter S. Beagle
Tourmaline, Paul Park
New Elizabeth Hand thriller

According to what I've read on Duncan's blog, we should expect Ink next year.

More please!

Kelly, the Dowling collection, Basic Black: Tales of Appropriate Fear, should be out in December, so you shouldn't have that long to wait. It features two previously unpublished stories.

As for me, what am I looking forward to? Apart from Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett? The list is way too long.

Thanks Hal! Can't wait for the conclusion (if there is one?).

So, are both Terry Lamsley and Dowling coming out with new collections from CD?
