Is anyone else into sci-fi / action audio books? I just came across some insanely produced books at cuttingaudio.com a few weeks ago. I really like the Executioner series and Stony Man. They have tons of sound effects and music which is a lot better than just listening to a narrator. Has anyone else heard anything about these books?

Is Books in Motion still in business? I had some writer friends who sold them some novels, some that were standalones that never saw print, some that were published elsewhere originally (or later): action, SF, mystery, combinations... They were geared (ahem, pun intended) toward truckers on the road.

Yeah, it looks like Books in Motion is still going. The main market for alot of audio books are truckers, obviously because they're on the road all the time. I know that alot of them prefer satellite radio nowadays too.

There are 2 Fantasy and 1 SF "podiobooks" being serialized over at The Dragon Page. Think books done via podcasting.

You can get previous chapters by following all the relevant links, and all 3 books are free.

We're also hoping to get Podiobooks going, but that's still being built.
