Twenty years after an incredibly eccentric career that culminated in the faking of his own death, comic Andy Kaufman has returned:

The real Andy Kaufman is dead. What we have is startling evidence that Andy Kaufman was not merely a comedic genius. He was a scientific genius--the first person to successfully clone himself. That's undoubtedly why it took twenty years for the clone to make his appearance. He might have Andy's body but he didn't have his memories. He had to spend those twenty years researching Andy in order to successfully fool his family. It could only be a clone. Otherwise, anyone who faked their own death and made their family and fans suffer merely to make a lame artistic statement has to be one scary, demented SOB. Definitely not funny.

From what I know the real Kaufman certainly had a side that would fit this description. In least the demented SOB part.

Strangely, people were discussing (jokingly) that an Andy Kaufman/Jerry Lawler rematch was scheduled for that last, markedly underwhelming big wrestling show.
