Well hello there!

Many thanks to Geoffrey Maloney for bringing the idea up, and Jeff Vandermeer for turning it into a reality: this be moi discussion board.

As to who I am, well, I've had just shy of 40 story sales at time of this entry, including appearances in 'Writers Of The Future Volume 18', 'Tales of the Unanticipated', the Wheatland Press anthology 'All-Star Zeppelin Adventure Stories', 'Aurealis', and 'Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine'. My first collection is due out soon from Prime Books, and I'll start a thread about that separate to this for those who may wish to discuss it.

Rather than print a full bibliography here, I'd welcome you all to visit my weblog at http://battersblog.blogspot.com- there's a link to my online biblio and a message board. Say hi!

Anyhoo, with many thanks to Geoff and Jeff for getting me here, and some coins in the tip jar for Nightshade for the comfy bed and good meals, I'm very glad to be here.

I wouldn't lick it too often, Lee, it's high in salt.

I'm seriously looking forward to reading your collection.

Me too :-) When's yours coming out, Trent? I need to get my hands on a copy.

And heya Ben, welcome on board. A Battersboard indeed! Oh mighty editor, when can we expect the next ish of Aurealis?

You know: battersblog, battersbiblio, battersboard: it's taken 34 years and a bunch of careers, but I finally have a reason to be glad of this surname...

Nowt. I'm a multi-voiced kind of guy :-)

I figure there'll be some kind of weird cross-pollination as people from here discover the Battersblog and say hi over there, then come back here to mention they've been over there, and vice versa. Sort of like no degrees of separation. And I expect all the boards (I have a thread of my own at the Shadowed Realms board as well) will run off in different directions, which seems... appropriate, somehow.

You just made up October 25th? My God, that's awesome! Now we won't have to go straight from the 24th to the 26th like in the old days.... :-)

Hiya Jay!

You in the ish as well? I have the 3rd Father Muerte story, "Father Muerte & the Flesh" in there.

For those who care abnout such things, the 4th Muerte story, ".... And The Joy of Warfare" has recently been completed and has been sent out to collect its 1st rejection :-) I'll be starting the 5th story before the new year as an in-between-novels project, possibly under the title "...And the Bells"
