Just learned that I have a deal with DeBoekerij in Holland for Poison Master - a result of the LIBF, apparently.

So drinks are on me - (at some point, within reason, she added hastily).

There's probably a terrible pun about going Dutch lurking in there...
Congrats!

Ha! I suspect there are lots of terrible puns...From that basis, thank God I'm not being translated into French.

More in the shameless self promo dept: Sold a story to Realms of Fantasy.

It's set in Kazakhstan and the incident on which it's based happened to someone I know (unfortunately, since it involves a car crash and long-dead poetesses.)

Nifty story in the December 2003 ASIMOV'S, Ms. Liz! Loved the angel and its heart. Wonderful ending.

Hi Liz.

Read your story in EV #6 this morning. Weird coincidence alert, unless you're being unwittingly plagiarised. There was a skit on the Lenny Henry show the other weekend about a very similar Device, except this one had an MP3 player thrown in for good measure!

I am still trying to wade through heaps of fiction in order to get to Empire of Bones. It's waiting patiently for me next to my bed.

Bizarre! There is no such thing as coincidence...she muttered darkly. :-)

Thank you! :-)

I'm sorry, I should have put this up myself - it did go into other forums, but for some reason (incompetence?) I missed this one.

Thanks, Liz. Had some good feedback on the issue already.
