Steve:
Great to find that you have a message board. I wonder if you could update us on your current projects. What's coming out in the UK and what's coming out in the US?

Thanks Susan. As for stuff, thereís the fourth Accomplice book KARLOFFíS CIRCUS out this May. Itís probably the most colourful of them.
Four Walls Eight Windows in US are going to do my book LINT, which is a whole book about Jeff Lint (for one of my essays about him, see http://www.thealienonline.net/features/lint_caterer_apr02.asp?tid=3&scid=26&iid= 521). Iím working on that at the moment.
My comic THE NERVE may be coming out from Wildstorm/DC sometime, but i donít know yet. Iím also working on a cartoon, and a Beerlight book.

Yes it was alright, though there were some classic Trek conversations afterward, which i never believed really happened (those sort of conversations, i mean). Also i saw the gorgeous Aleks Krotoski and was too surprised to go up and be a fanboy, thank god. I halted the flood of saliva in time to watch the movie 'The Gospel According to Philip K Dick', which was okay enough. First time it's been shown over here. Anyway, it was okay thanks.

Since were talking about new work...
Is RIP available for viewing anywhere on the Web?
Any ideas which shops in London will carry 'The Nerve' when it comes out?

Steve:

You'll be happy to know the people at Review of Contemporary Fiction, Dalkey Archive Press, think very highly of your work.

Kevin - there are no animated RIP samples on web, though there's a few stills here & there. There will be a whole bunch of stills & stuff up soon. As for The Nerve, I've been told by Wildstorm that they want to do it, but it'll be a while. Wildstorm are part of DC so it'll be in all the usual comic shops, Forbidden Planet etc.
Jeff - i like Dalkey Archive's books, i have a bunch of Sorrentino ones in particular. Would they be into doing US editions of the Accomplice books, or Bigot Hall or Inflatable Volunteer i wonder?

I was talking to Tim Feeney, Review of Contemporary Fiction editor, and he said he loved the Accomplice books. Of course, he isn't the editor of Dalkey itself. I don't know if your agent is in discussion with them, but it seems like your agent should probably make sure they get everything of yours that hasn't been published in the U.S. just in case.

Hello, Dr. Aylett. Dr. Chapman here. Your message board hasn't been real active, has it?

Just want to let you know that I think "Download Syndrome" is a hoot. (That's in The Thackery Lambshead Pocket Guide, Aylett fans of America.) (Millions cheer.)

A sweet concept gorgeously realized. Keep up the good worms.

I'd like to send you a chapbook of my drawings called Common Ectoids of Arizona, but I don't know your street address. Could you possibly e-mail stepanchapman@hotmail.com and help me out in this regard?

Glad you liked Download Syndrome. I haven't had a copy of the Thackery book yet but was shown a copy & it looked good.
I'll send you an address. Cheers.
You review comics? I did an issue of Tom Strong which'll be out next year sometime...

Wow. I'm following Tom Strong, and all the other America's Best Comics. In fact I reviewed League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for a Minneapolis magazine called Rain Taxi.

If Alan Moore ever asks you whether you know any geniuses who might like to join you in writing for his atelier, please tell him that I'm very interested, and I work cheap.

I'd tell him myself, but I haven't yet doped out how to contact the guy. Please e-mail me again if you can offer any suggestions in this regard.

Meanwhile your chap is in the mail.
