Hi, Simon.

I thought it was a decent review except for your nit regarding the protagonist going online to investigate. Who doesn't Google these days? Seems to me that would be one of the first things our hero might try. Or, perhaps, you only thought the myths were too convenient? I'd still question that conclusion, but not so strongly as I'd need to go over the supernatural aspects to determine what is and isn't available on the web.

I agree that research of mythology is definitely a staple of bad horror...and good horror too.

Much enjoyed though. I am happy you're writing these reviews and hope you continue.

Thanks for responding Laird.

It wasn't the fact that he was going on google that I was nitpicking, it was the fact that he went searching and found a bunch of convenient myths that just happened to wrap everything together. I would have thought the same thing if he had, say, gone to the library instead.
