Not a bad ballot at all, in my opinion, though I'll name three disappointments:
1) Cory and Catska Ench for best artist
2) A couple of F&SF stories I'd have liked to see make the final cut (Ysa Wilce's "Metal More Attractive" and M. Rickert's "Cold Fires")
3) When is someone going to notice what a good job Shawna McCarthy has been doing with Realms of Fantasy?
And that's the end of my bellyaching. I think the judges deserve recognition for coming up with a ballot on which (cliche alert!) it truly is an honor just to be nominated.
(Hmm, it just occurred to me to wonder if Jeff Ford had to withdraw "Annals of Eelin-Ok" from consideration.)

Congratulations to you and Michael Shea!

Btw, there's a problem with artist. Your list and the list on the website don't match. I know Picacio SHOULD be on there (one of the judges contacted me to get in touch with the administrators) but beyond that there seem to be other discrepancies...(in artist)

Tough competition in your category. Very tough competition in mine.
As you said, either way, it's an amazing honor just to be in the mix with such great company. Very grateful.

Jeff wouldn't have had to but he would not have been able to vote. Also, he will have to recuse himself from voting in the anthology category, I believe, because he's in The Faery Reel.
