Slush Writer Appreciation Month continues! Today, I posted a new interview with Kelly Link, who, in addition to being a fine writer, also reads slush for SCI FICTION.

In this excerpt, Ms. Link talks about how she reads slush:

I usually read through around a hundred manuscripts all at once... For a while, I read slush standing up, because otherwise I tended to read stories right through, even when I knew they weren't working or weren't right for SCIFICTION. It sped up the process--when I hit a story that was working, I'd set it aside in a pile of stories to-be-read-while-sitting-down.
