Gridlinked has shortlisted for the Salamander Award as the best SF book published in Czechoslovakia in 2005. The others are "Flow my tears..." by P.K. Dick, "The Naked God" by Peter F. Hamilton, "Redemption Ark" by A. Reynolds and "Ilium" by Dan Simmons.

Seems they like my stuff there...

Just wanted to let you know this was one of your novels I enjoyed the most, Mr. Asher. I enjoyed it so much I did a book review of it at:

More Ian Cormac, please.

I'm sorry. I fat-fingered that URL. Go to www.bewilderingstories.com, select Reviews from the menu, and look up your name in the alphabetical list (I also reviewed Prador Moon).

Thanks for both reviews, Danielle. I have to add that you're a little late with your plea about more Cormac, since I've finished the entire series:

1.Gridlinked 2.The Line of Polity 3.Brass Man 4.Polity Agent 5.Line War.

Come now, Mr. Asher!

Now that Cormac's a "rebel" and "outlaw" we've got more room for adventure than ever before. I'd like to see him cope without all that high tech support... on the outs with his former friends. Even more fun! James Bond without the magic car, so to speak. Please?

Mebbe more from Cormac, though next I'm doing a new series based on the 'Owner' stories in The Engineer ReConditioned. I'm not dead yet.
