This is a thread for developments and implications of military technology. And I happen to like depth, which means I don't give a fuck if your posting is not mercifully short. Come to think of it, if mercifully short means the discussion reduces to the line of 'fuck that' 'no, fuck that!' 'no fuck you, you arsehole (or asshole)', fuck off.

It's an elegantly simple design and any mechanism without moving parts (another example: the scramjet engine) is an engineer's dream!
