PS Publishing has been chosen as the first recipient of this possibly ridiculously dubious award.

I've been wanting for a while to recognise fine small publishers who also treat their writers and customers well. Rhys, your posting a while ago when you contrasted PS's treatment of you with another publisher, was one of the reasons I decided to do this small thing. I had already been thinking of PS because of other reports I have read, and also, my own experience with them as a customer (one rule for the Bletted Medlar is that I don't have anything submitted or in the works with the recipient at the time--and by the way, the next publisher who will receive it seems to specialise in dead authors, and another publishes mostly non-fiction, so genre orientation doesn't matter to me).
I would be grateful to receive nominations of other fine publishers who any of you think should receive recognition, if in fact, you think this token does any good at all.
