Thanks. But I didn't exactly forget Boise State. :-) I did however omit OSU-PENN ST.

How do you know the times? Does your dish list them? If so, what are the ESPN morning games.

I got them from Yahoo Sports.

The DirecTV site has the ESPN Game Plan schedule, but for the regular ESPN and Network games, you need to look at your cable listing. Mine hasn't updated yet (e.g., at 9:00 it says "Wisc-Northwestern or Marshall-VaTech").

Northwestern might be a landmine for the BADgers if they don't pay attention.

OSU-PSU should be a great game, but I think that Hawk will be . . . well, hawkish.

TX/OU . . . *yawn*. If TX doesn't hold the sooners down and spank them, I'd suggest there are some coaching issues. Especially since Adrian Peterson sat out of practice with an ankle injury.

GA/TN is interesting. Anyone want to call that one? I'm not even going to venture a guess. Of course, I'll be pleased if TN loses, as always.

And, hey, my cougars suck again this year. What's new? I doubt they'll even make a bowl at this rate.

Northwestern is a land mine. Whether the BADgers trip it is to be determined.

Texas-OU doesn't provoke a yawn over here. I expect it to be close for at least a half, and if Texas doesn'r put them away by the start of the fourth qtr, they could be in some trouble. You're suggesting they have coaching issues? :-)

OSU will blow PSU out.

Tenn, despite having a huge stadium, doesn't have much of a home court advantage. Georgia can win there. But,,,,I'd never bet this game. Too many variables at QB.

Another stern test for the Eagles. I think you have understated their rating a bit. Last I looked, they were 18 in the AP and 17 in the USA Today. They certainly jumped over VA after that whomping UMD put on em.

Well . . . how much talent did OU graduate? If they didn't graduate a ton of talent, then what else is to blame outside of coaching? They've done well the past few years, for sure, but why the sudden crappiness? Unless, of course, they were over-rated the past couple of years.

I thought you were suggesting Texas had coaching issues. They do. OU graduated a lot of lineman, their QB, and that'll do you in. They have top recruits. Etc. Stoops is a fine coach. Yet I think they were overrated a little. I'm a firm believer that Auburn would have done a better job against SC.

Scoff if you will. If USF beats WV (who struggled with Syracuse and E. Carolina) and runs the table in the BE (sorry, Deborah), they could win the conference and make it to the BCS. The line-up of teams they have to beat (Cincy, UConn, Rutgers) is not daunting.

Hey, they would be boys in a man's world if they made it, but it could still happen.

Texas with coaching issues? Whatever do you mean?

Yep, the NFL drafted ten OU kids and at least five were opening day starters with their respective teams. That doesn't include Jason White. I think that's actually their biggest difference this year -- QB play. Although, Bomar is coming along and should develop into a star.

Texas is a 14 point favorite and SHOULD win easily. But I never underestimate the "in their head" factor.

This will be nothing short of blasphemy on this board, but I'm pulling hard for Ohio State the rest of the way. With the Big 12 being so soft this year, thay may be Texas' only quality win. If Ohio State loses a couple of games, that only cheapens it. God help me, I'll also be rooting for...gulp...Notre Dame when they play USC. Texas has a very good chance of being this year's Auburn if Virginia Tech or USC don't lose a game. Both have tougher schedules and they could leave Texas at #3 going into the BCS if all are undefeated.

Of course, it doesn't matter if Texas loses to OU, or Tech, or A&M. Short of a major meltdown, those are the only potential losses left before bowl season.

FWIW - I think Georgia will beat Tenn.

If they win this year, Josh, it'll be a Barry Switzer incident.

Me, I can't watch ND-USC, or any more Ohio State game except when they play Michigan. Amd in the former, I'm rooting for an ELE.

GA-TENN -- coaching, I think, will keep it close.

So if OSU and WI win out (and PSU loses somewhere), then WI becomes the big ten champ, seeing that OSU has an out of conference loss. Since they don't play each other, there's no way to tell which is the better team (though we all know OSU is), so we get a bunch of he-said-she-said bickering, WI goes to the BCS and OSU does not. Not to mention, WI could be the next Auburn as well (unless TX wins out, in which case it will be this year's Boise State or Utah).

While I'm fine with all that, it's really not fair to OSU. I'm not crying about that, but I just throw it out there as yet another example of how the BCS can suck. *yawn*. Nothing to see here, folks, move along.

Baylor is a monster. Baylor will win out. Ah, crap, that doesn't work, now does it? Well, I misjudged the Cyclones. They had a hot spike and then crashed cold. I thought they had more juice in them, I was wrong.

This next week will be interesting in the Big Ten:

PSU v MI
OSU v MSU
WI v MN

If PSU and MSU lose, things are going to be very muddled. I see the BADgers losing against MN, which might precipitate a downward slide for the rest of the season. The rest of their games are all very winnable and all very loseable.

Whatever happens, the Big Ten champion will have at least one loss, maybe two (which would likely mean a two or three-way tie for the B10 championship). No way can PSU win out. No way.

Oh, and though we lost to NW, the BADgers are still in a three-way tie for second in the conference, so nothing disastrous . . . yet. :-(
