"For those stuck in Seattle, we've got a gig coming up on October 12th at the Funhouse."

That would be us.

My ears are ringing, for me and my gal.

We saw said band at the Fun House. A horrid accident. We also saw their number one fan, a huge 6'7, 6'8, double-chinned, flabby, fifty-something freak out of night of living dead, part-zombie, part-Frankenstein monster, clearly disturbed. He seemed the essence of the band's noise...even they were scared of them....

Marc named him the Punktard...

Aka Punktor, since he bore an uncanny resemblance to Tor Johnson. It was a Torrid evening.

Yes, he walked right up to the lead singer, braced himself with one foot up on the stage, and began to jerk back and forth from the waist like a paralytic dipping-bird.

Imagine Uncle Fester coming to check out your band, oblivious to the rest of the audience. It's just you and Uncle Tor...the famous Seattle Punktard.

It must be a terrible feeling to get a band together, rent rehearsal space, rehearse night after night, scrimp and save for a van, quit your day job to get time off, travel for weeks on the road enduring shitty food and awful accomodations, for the sole purposes of playing music and meeting girls, and then to look up from your biggest gig, and see....you know who...Is it any wonder rockers blow their brains out?

Sounds like the makings of an estimable punk lyric!
