Yep, it's that time again.

Brett Farve has proved my thesis correct--that he is egomaniacal butthead. I hope he likes the NY Press. Last year's fluke Super Bowl win behind them, the Giants will sink bad into medocrity, the Cowboys will ascend, and in colleg ball the Florida Gators will kickk serious ass.

Stay tuned.

So what's the coverage like in Switzerland.

When the Favre deal went down, I thought to myself Lucius is probably really happy about this. Favre can kiss goodbye any chance of going to the superbowl or even to make the finals for that matter.

As for the Cowboys, I don't know man. They've blown two finals games, whose to say the wont blow another.

Looking forward for this years NFL season, as the Australian football season has been pretty bleak this year so far for me.

Super Bowl, that's about it. I'll live.

Farve showed his true colors--even Minz admits he's an asshole.

Okay, if not the Boys, then the Browns... :-)

I'm crossing my fingers for a healthy Freeney and a healthy Harrison. Oh yeah. And a healthy Peyton.

I'm sure the Colts will be happy to hear it. I know I am. :-)

With that said, I don't need a superbowl win out of the Colts this year. I'll be plenty content for the Colts to merely crush the Patriots, to hear the crying of their cheerleaders. That's enough for me. I'm not saying I won't take more, though.

Whew! Thank goodness, cause they're one and done. :-)

I think the Favre deal will end in disaster. The NY sports press eats its own for an appetizer. The instance of aging greats who use New York for their victory lap and do it successfully is short indeed (Gretzky, Pele). Everyone in football knows there is only one town where past-it athletes go to be overpaid and that is Washington.

I planned to spend an evening watching football last night, but I ended up watching South Carolina-NC State instead. Boy, was that game an artistic failure. The cellar couldn't find a nicer dweller than Tom O'Brien.
