I decided to put up a blog as part of alexirvine.net -- any suggestions about what might belong there? Enough blogs already exist that there's not much hope of doing something new, but if I can get new readers to have a look at the books and stories the blog will have done its job.

Let me know...

Hey,

Lou Anders posted a blog entry about Fonzi being the archetypal shaman, Hal Duncan's been talking about SF vs. Sci Fi . . . you've got thoughts like that. I'd like to hear what you have to say about stuff. And make sure you have an RSS feed.

I've got a feed, but I'm not sure how much thinking out loud I want to do on the blog. I'm still just dipping my toes in.

I saw Lou's Fonz piece; it was a hoot...

Since you've done some non-standard writing work, such as writing for the i love bees thing, (and didn't you also work on the online component of the AI movie site), I'd like to hear you talk about those things.

Other than that, I'd say just be yourself, allow your readers to feel like they know you a bit. It'll make 'em more loyal. :-)

BTW, on your website, on the page for The Narrows, there's a typo in the word "spring" (transposed letters).

Don't get down on yourself, pally. It happens to the best of us. The good news is, it's just a few pixels out of alignment; 'tis easily fixed. :-)

Hey, you going to Lunacon this weekend?

No cons for me for a little while. Got this project going that will keep me at home. I think the next con I can make is Readercon.

Sorry you won't be at ICFA this weekend, but I'm glad to see you've entered the blogosphere!

I wish I'd known about the good writers they had on ilovebees when it was happening. And congrats on the Choice Award for innovation.

Thanks, Marc. I don't know much about the gaming industry, but I gather it was pretty out of character for them to give the innovation award in this kind of direction.

It got as many Game Developers' Choice awards as Halo 2. That's saying something right there.

And it's up there with Katamari Damacy, which is a huge (and hugely fun) hit.

It makes us all look good.

Now I wish I had many hours to enjoy all of these games. I haven' put any serious time into a game since Starcraft...

Well, I managed to murder my old computer, and with it the original blog. So there's a new one up there now, with a slightly different address. All two of you who might have linked or subscribed might want to update.
