"A Peaceable Man" will appear in the March F&SF.

"For Now It's Eight O'Clock" probably will show up in March on Strange Horizons.

"New Game in Town" will appear in the anthology Retro Pulp Tales, coming out sometime in '04 from Subterranean.

And I notice that lowlife Van Gelder neglected to mention your name in the Feb. "Coming Attractions."

What's going on with the JPPN, vol. 2? Slated to appear somewhere in 2004?

That Van Gelder. I'll fix him.

Jetse: we ran into some production problems. We're aiming for spring right now, and that looks like it should work out. Fear not: the world will not be denied a second dose of pulse-pounding goodness.

Thanks Alex. I guess I'll just have to persist on caffeine until spring.

Just finished my next novel, tentatively titled THE NARROWS. Look for it in October.

An extract from it, "The Golems of Detroit," should show up in F&SF sometime soon.

"The Golems of Detroit" is a great story! Can't wait to get the issue and check it out in print.
