HI Liz. I just read this story on scifi.com. It was a beautiful story and I enjoy it a great deal. So much so I spend the time to find your website just so I can say thank you. It is one of the best fictions I've read in a long time. When time permits, I hope to read more of your work in the future.

Thank you, Duong. I'm glad you liked the story, and glad you found my website. Which is sorely in need of updating, I'm afraid -- soon!

Thanks again --

Enjoyed the story "Calypso in Berlin." We were wondering if Phillip is a reference to Phyllis, the Thracian princess who died of grief waiting for Demophon, son of Theseus. Athena changed her into an almond tree that burst into bloom after being hugged by Demophon when he finally returned. Also, Phyllis is supposed to mean leafy.

Thanks Justin, and Dayna. Phillip wasn't a conscious reference to Phyllis, but hey, it works! I'm familiar with the legend but wasn't thinking of it at the time. Nice, though!

the subconscious may have been doing some unraveling and reweaving of its own . . . BTW Winterlong is my favorite of all your books, and part 4 of a tetralogy would be most welcome!

Thanks, Dayna! Believe it or not, I do think about that -- writing a fourth book and tying it all up. I don't even know what would happen -- I have no clue -- but I'd love to revisit some of those characters. So we'll see...
