I just found out today that Argosy has been nominated in the 2004 British Fantasy Awards category of Best Small Press.

What's up with Argosy, and with you, now that you've departed as editor? And if this is the wrong place to ask, forgive me.

It's not the wrong place to ask at all - that's why I created this thread!
I am now busily ensconced as the Editorial Director of Pyr, a new SF&F imprint from science/nature publisher Prometheus Books. We're producing 16 books a year, mostly in hardcover, beginning in March of '05. Skip over to the Pyr thread for the press releases.
As to Argosy, I've had very little contact with them since my departure. They had a third issue from me ready to go when I left, but no clear indication of when it might be published.

Thanks for the reply. And good luck with Pyr, by the way.

Hi Mike (and Lou) -
We're hoping to be making some announcements soon about further issues of Argosy - we're just waiting until the plans are all nailed down to say anything.
Lou did indeed turn in a stellar batch of material for issue 3 (and even some of 4), which we certainly intend to see print. When we have our schedule in hand, we'll be announcing it up yonder at the Argosy section of Nightshade's board.
We do miss Lou, but Pyr, and the lineup he's assembled, is a nice consolation prize, and we're looking forward to seeing where he goes with it over the coming seasons.
Thanks for the continued interest -
