Hi everyone

One of my jobs, in my top secret capacity as reviews editor over at Locus magazine, is to coordinate the compilation of Locus's annual recommended reading list. While most of the work on the various lists that make up the final published recommended reading list is done in December/January of each year, I'm constantly on the look-out during the year for recommendations for work that we should look at and consider.

And so, given that I have this message board, I thought I'd post here and invite anyone who wishes to do so to recommend any good books that they read that have been/will be published between 1 January and 31 December 2003. I should stress that this isn't directly part of the process that we use to develop the final list, but hopefully it will flag quality work that we should consider that we might otherwise have overlooked.

Best
Jonathan

PS: I should probably stress here that while I work for Locus, this is not an official Locus thing.

Hi Jonathan,
Since I'm still reading for YBFH #16 I'm not staring anything from 2003 yet but once I do I'll suggest stories and maybe novels.

That would be wonderful. And if I see anything from 03 that may be worth checking out (like, say, Mike Bishop's haunting and terrific "The Door Gunner" from the Golden Gryphon antho THE SILVER GRYPHON) I'll be sure to let you know.
