Well I know it has it's own thread, but can I just say how much I enjoyed Inferno? I was really impressed by the Ballingrud, Shepard, Grant, Hirshberg and Cadigan stories (and the rest weren't too shabby either!), but especially by Lee Thomas' 'An Apiary of White Bees.' I'd read one or two of his stories before, but this one knocked my socks off.

I've just told Pat that you liked her story--she's pleased :-)

And I'm totally pleased that you enjoyed the whole book!

In that case I should exploit this situation and ask you to ask her if there are any plans for a new short story collection. It's been how many years since Dirty Work...?

I'll ask Pat when I see her today--she hadn't been writing many short stories (or anything) for a few years and just has gotten back up to speed. She probably will have enough for a new collection soonish, but I think it would be hard to sell until she finishes a novel.

Well it's good to see some new Pat Cadigan stories starting to appear. And she has one in the Poe antholgy too! (Yeah, I noticed you just posted the TOC in a new thread, but seeing as I'm here...)

I noticed Kaaron Warren's name there as well. Did you know Prime have just reissued her The Grinding House collection as The Glass Woman? It has the same contents (I think) but with the bonus of one original story.

Yes, I knew about the reissue of Kaaron's collection over here. It actually came out several months ago.

I probably should've thought a bit more about who I was asking that question to; of course you already knew about it. Doh....:-)

That's ok--don't hit yourself over the head about it--I don't see EVERYTHING.

I imagine that's probably a good thing. You'd never get anything else done.
