Ok. I've got myself a free flickr account for a year so that my website isn't overburdened by photographs. I've put up photos from Jo Fletcher's wedding in London, Pat Cadigan and my trip to Poland afterwards.
Some of my doll collection
and finally

the photos of jellies I took at Noreascon 4 in 2004, which I lost-but found (I suspected they were there) on my old obsolete Toshiba laptop.
They're pretty neat.

Anyone interested go to:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/35025258@N00/

Comment if you like, pick a favorite, whatever.
But most of all, enjoy!

They were through the glass of the aquarium--there were several small displays. Not sure. Some DID come out blurry :-)

Well, the online ones were impressive, anyhow.
There was one of a river in Poland I really liked too. It looked like it would make a good desktop picture.

I've actually recently put up one of my Australian sunsets as my desktop picture. Till I get bored of it. Then maybe I'll switch to a jelly :-)

I've got woods looking out onto a sunny meadow. Before that it was a river, and before that it was Luray Caverns. I'm partial no scenic landscapes, usually with water in them.

BTW, speaking of underwater critter pictures, have you ever seen a sea dragon? My husband took pictures of some at an aquarium in Tennessee. They look like seahorse dryads.

Melissa,
I'm not sure. Do you have pix of them?

Unfortunately, I liked having the jellyfish photo on top of my screen of my flickr page. But once I uploaded a new set of photos, the jellyfish was no longer on top. Anyone who knows how flickr works know a secret to moving the photos on the front page around? (not the sets, I've done that)

Sorry! I didn't realize there was a problem-I only looked at the still pictures. It didn't do anything permanent, did it?

The aquarium had ones of various ages, and the little ones had no "leaves"-it was like watching some enchantment transforming an animal into a plant.

Not every day one gets to see the Goodyear blimp :-)

So you're at the beach and there's the blimp up in the sky, easing by?

It works well in color though perhaps a few blimps in black and white would have conveyed the horror as the dreaded dirigibles tear a hole in the sky, kill the corral, contribute to tree limpness, and knock over a fence.

Well of course it really didn't happen that way :-)

Yup. My mother spotted it first and there it came, closer and closer.

Unfortunately, flickr is really confusing about ordering photos. Once they're up, I haven't figured out how to change the order on the front page of the site. You can move them around within each set but that's it.

Perhaps the felines will opine differently...

We did. Enough things to do so that we weren't always in each other's hair. The only problem was communication, as cel phones wouldn't work onboard so we had to set times/places to meet up periodically.

Well, there were over 2,000 people on the ship and although our three cabins were all next door to each other, once we left them there would be no way to find each other. I mostly hung out with my sister and brother in law--but my parents wanted to know what we were up to occasionally. And we sometimes met up for lunch--dinner was at a specific seating and time so we knew that was a constant...

I've always been fascinated by the age of the steamship, although I think it's mostly the luggage. I mean, steamer trunks are fabulous. But there's something about being suspended between two places that seems appealing.

So far, the closest I've come has been train-travel with a sleeper car. It feels a little like time-travel.
