Roger Pile yesterday made this very interesting post about NEMONYMOUS ONE (2001):

That extract from 'Book and Magazine Collector' looks intriguing, Des.

Yes, it's a very strange little piece about anonymity in literature and is headed 'Secret Stories by Nemo' instigated by the recent publication ZENCORE.
'Book and Magazine Collector' is a very smart regular booklet that has been going years in UK. Of course, ZENCORE does feature a story about a book collector!

I've been touching up my portal:
http://www.nemonymous.com

Anyone submitting to 'Cone Zero'?
£65 per story (2500 - 12000 words). Not enough, I know, but I try.

Things may have seemed quiet on the 'Nemonymous' front lately but:

I've still been selling ZENCORE!
http://weirdmonger.livejournal.com/2007/07/26/

and still been reading submissions for CONE ZERO:
http://weirdmonger.blog-city.com/cone_zero_guidelines.htm

It seems that most writers have really taken the 'Cone Zero' concept to heart, each one on a very personal level.

I'm pleased to announce that Tim Nickels' story ENGLAND & NOWHERE from ZENCORE! (Nemonymous Seven) has been picked by Ellen Datlow to be reprinted in YEAR'S BEST FANTASY AND HORROR #21 (St Martin's Press).
I'm first thrilled for Tim, then I'm thrilled for Zencore! but Zencore! is hard to please. It turned on its stony plinth, looked quizzically at me and asked why this was good news. I replied it is an honour. The statue then stood prouder. Have a look at your copy of Zencore! The book's stony icon is looking more upstanding and proud than when you last looked at it. A miracle.

Well done, Tim!

I've been graced with hundreds and hundreds of stories either called CONE ZERO or about CONE ZERO.
The world for me has truly and literally become CONE ZERO.

Mark Valentine has been the fourth ZENCORE writer to write a snippet for NEMO's ARK:

I am pleased to report that I’ve seen a copy of a review of ZENCORE! (including a thumbnail of its cover) in TIME OUT magazine. In this, the reviewer seems to have enjoyed reading it and correctly guesses the authors of ‘Undergrowth’ and ‘England & Nowhere’!

Re Cone Zero submissions, every submitter should by now have received a rejection or notification of being among the authors of 50 short-listed stories.

Zencore! has been reviewed in MACHENALIA -The Newsletter of the Friends of Arthur Machen (Winter 2007-2008)

It starts:
"Zencore! a collection of 17 strange and often horrific tales whose subject matter ranges from a call centre employee's disgusting experience in the staff toilet to the more refined doom awaiting the Machen aficionado who strays into one too many second hand bookshops..."
