(i) I continue to sell or constructively give away remaining copies of NEMONYMOUS. When that operation is complete I will be able to start work on ‘Nemonymous Six’ by inviting submissions for this writers’ paying market. So far, there have been only two BFS members interested in receiving a free copy of ‘Nemonymous Five’ to consider its 12 stories for BFS Award recommendations. This is disappointing. There are also still outstanding a few promised reviews of various editions of ‘Nemonymous’.
(ii) There continues to be a steady hit rate on my ‘Publication-on-Reading’ novels: THE HAWLER and KLAXON CITY. Free navigation here: http://www.weirdmonger.com
There have been two readers so far binding their own bespoke book-copies of ‘The Hawler’ for my validation signature as an approved edition of the novel. I am grateful to those two readers.
However, I shall soon be tempted to consider this a failed experiment and withdraw the novels from the Internet and submit them to publishers in the normal way.
(iii) I continue to post here:
republished versions of all my thousand odd print publications from the past. This also includes ‘Wordhunger’ material and one-plus-one collaborations – and many brand new stories. Indeed, I have recently written some new fables this month which are highlighted at the top of the page linked. All these postings are available for bespoke book collections in the same way as ‘The Hawler’. And I have recently clarified that the novella AGRA ASKA has been on the internet for a while – also available for ‘Publication-on-Reading’ purposes. 'Agra Aska' had much acclaim when first published in 1998 (having been written in 1984). Details of 'Agra Aska': http://tinyurl.com/qzrr6
(iv) The book ‘Weirdmonger’ (The Nemonicon) is still available but the ranking on Amazon.com is now very low (and they have the author as someone else!) I wonder if this book sells better through other outlets? Details here: http://members.fortunecity.com/elizabethbowen/
(v) The paperback book ‘Only Connect’ is still available direct from myself. Details here: http://tinyurl.com/o9j3d
(vi) I continue to participate in conversations on the Internet regarding the philosophy of fiction (the writing thereof, its presentation, its effect on readers and reviewers, its distribution etc). For example, in the last few days here: http://p082.ezboard.com/fshocklinesforumfrm2
with a subject entitled ‘literary experiments’.
