I thought I would rather quietly announce in my dusty corner of NS that my four-book series of original fairy tales, The Daughters' Tales, has been picked up by Bantam/Dell. Contracts are still being drawn up, so I don't have a publication date yet, but it's happening, and I'm very pleased with the deal. Quite a step up for a girl who just started publishing last year. ;)

Wow, outstanding. Congratulations!

Do I understand correctly, that it's a *four* book deal? :falls over:

Yes, Darja (and hi!) it is a four book deal. However, for the moment Bantam is planning to release them as two volumes containing two books apiece.

Does this mean there're no longer going to be Prime/Wildside editions of these?

Now if only Yume No Hon would come out and projectpulp would ship my copy of Oracles, I'd be set!

Mastadge, _Yume No Hon_ is at the printers, so it should be out soon.

Congratulations (again) on the book deal, Catherynne!

Best,
Luís

M--

Yep, no Prime/Wildside editions.

But I still have work in the chute from Prime, as it remains difficult to place anything really strange with the larger presses.
