Forrest - many, many congratulations to you and Jeff for Leviathan3. To think this, time last year you and I were leaning in the doorway of the awards trying to catch who won... and here you are one year later!!!

Congrats to you and Jeff! And, as I've only recently received Leviathan, I'll now know I'm holding a World Fantasy Award winner, and will therefore be more careful with spilling the coffee on it.
And, btw, you have a Spanish fan! I gave her that 'Thirteen Stories' where we both appear, and she read yours before mine (how dare she!) and said she liked it very much.
Sorry, she's married!

Thanks to everyone. I really, really appreciate the thanks. I hope to ride this for the next day (then it's back to work!).
Neil: Thanks, man. I wish you were there, I really do. Eric and I were commenting on how much we missed you. Also, leaning on the doorway is more comfortable than leaning on the podium!
Steve: Many thanks. It's the hispanic last name (actually Basque, but most people don't know the difference). And I'm quite happily married anyway! But thanks for looking out for me.
PS: Neil - I won't have access to the web soon (for just a day or two). Can you do me a favor and post the following to the 'Ville? Here goes:
Forrest & Jeff

Way to go, my friend. That won't be the only toxic fit inducing award to grace your shelves given a few years, I'm sure.
Was fantastic to meet you at last.

Thanks, Leslie. And Mark, likewise. Now go wash the silver stuff from your clothing.

Great to see you again, man. Congrats one more time on the big WF victory this weekend.
Feel free to drop me a line soon enough and let's stay in touch. Especially regarding the conversation we had. I'll think about some suggestions in the coming days.

What a coup! Congrats on the award, Forrest.

Hey there--congrats again! Was great seeing you.
I didn't spot the green van anywhere on the road. I dropped Susan off at the airport around 11:30, got home around 7:30. Spent yesterday trying to remember where I was and how I got there.

Yes, John, we'll need to continue our conversation soon. I've got some loose ends to tie up since the con, but don't want to lose touch on that stuff. Oh, by the way, I won the cobalt-60 graphic novel (vaughn bode) on ebay for $5!! I'm pretty pumped - it's great stuff. Classic 60's post-apocalyptic mutant hippies with guns. Who could ask for more?
Robert, sorry I didn't see you on the road. We lunched in Breezewood on the way back and I thought you might just walk into Perkins there or something, but no such luck. I must say, it was nice to buy a meal for a reasonable price. That hotel made me forget that reasonable prices for anything still exist! As always, it was great to see you too. I hope you can crash at my pad for Wiscon, once you figure out you're coming. Thanks again for the congrats. My face hurts from smiling (not really) and my wrist hurts from lifting the trophy (really - it's in pain).
