Conga Rats are in order here:

Tim Pratt's Polyphony 4 story, "Hart and Boot" will be reprinted in the Michael Chabon edited Best American Short Stories. In that same volume, Jeff 's story, "Three Days in a Border Town," will be listed as an Other Notable Story.

Wheee! Way to go, guys!

Uh, that would be Jeff VanderMeer's story...I was typing too fast and omitted the last name.

The book won't be out until late this year, Ellen (October, I think?). I heard from Michael Chabon about it yesterday, and from Kelly Link (whose story "Stone Animals" is also being reprinted).

Magic.

No--Chabon told me. I think the rec list is 50 stories or 100 stories or something like that.

But, honestly, the real congrats go to Tim and Kelly and everyone else who is in the antho.

Congrats to Jay and Deborah!

I can see you both in your evil robes, with only your pointy chins and gnarled knuckles visible, saying, "Everything has proceeded according to our design...."

Thanks, everyone!

I'm just back from RadCon where I didn't get radiated, but I did catch a cold...
