Who is going to be there? Alan and I will. I'm contemplating ordering a cake to go with the magnum of champagne we'll be bringing to toast the nuptials with people who couldn't be at the wedding. Anyone know any sources for kransekake in DC?

Me! And my roomie will be Susan. So are you bringing any of that green chartreuse?

Hush now, you already know the secret. It'll be the same as at the wedding if I can pull the cake part off. I'm picking up rings tomorrow and may try baking the thing myself.

Oh, I didn't realise kransekake was *that* cake! Lovely. At the wedding I only got to taste the filling.

I got to taste the rings, but only smelled the filling. That was enough. Mind you, this doesn't mean it's not worth at least smelling.

Oh hell, I'll give it another try if you bring it.

We're also bringing a higgins of champagne too. Sorry, bad joke.

Seriously, the bottle is fucking huge.

Kristin is in contact with the Norweigan and Swedish embassies (honest!) to see if we can get someone to make that cake for us near the hotel.

We need to take a field trip to the National Gallery. It's in walking distance! I need to get my Vermeer and Rothko fix, dammit.
