The Girl In The Glass, a new novel from Morrow/Harper Collins, will be appearing in July 05.
Had mentioned this before while I was writing it, but it's official now. The book is pretty much finished save for copy editing, the cover is done and it's going to appear in the summer catalogue.

I look forward to it - 60 minutes had a profile not long ago about one of the homes the eugenicists used for undesirables, essentially a state home that the kids never left. Very disturbing stuff.

Thanks John.
And Luke -- I was amazed when I stumbled onto this stuff, but it makes perfect sense in a way, given recent history since WW2. There are some very interesting non-fiction works out there on it as well.

Cornelis: Mulisch has been spotted, scurrying out from under the couch late at night. He sneaks under the sink in the kitchen and eats the raw potatoes there, drinks from the cats dish, drops a shining turd that looks like a dime on the braided rug in the dining room, and then skitters back under the couch. We've put out traps for him with little cheese balls in them as bait but nothing works. I was told by an old man that I'd have to get a Mongoose to get him. Still he lurks.

Why don't you try to catch him using your wife as bait? It's well known he likes a good female now and then.

As a last resort you could always shout: "Hey Mulisch, yer as dumb as a donkey's ass!"

He might go into a spasmic fit and die of the consequences....
