Oh my God...I didn't even know that. Thanks for telling me, Jeff. And congrats to you, too! My first time (and last?) on the finalist ballot. Amazing. Thanks for the congrats too, Robert. I'd never expect to win but I can finally say I am a Stoker-nominated author.

Brian Keene won the Stoker Award last night for his first novel THE RISING, but that's okay with me because he's a good guy and a long-time supporter of my work! (I so expected Brian to win the award that I even forgot the ceremony was yesterday until I saw the winners listed on another message board just now! Congrats to them all.)
