Thank you, Ellen....thank you, Rick.

Yeah, what an experience this morning! From "oh well, I guess there's next year" to "stop the presses...you're a 2005 World Fantasy Award finalist."

WOW. Chris Roberson was the first to phone me and give me the crazy news.

I'm so happy. Two years in a row. Proud to be in the company of Kinuko, Caniglia, John Jude, and Charles. Just amazing company.

I still can't believe the turn of events, but my girlfriend and I are heading down to the Riverwalk to celebrate the good news tonight.

Congrats for THE FAERY REEL, Ellen!!

John,
it was awfully confusing.
Interestingly, no one from the WFC contacted me about The Faery Reel nomination, which is weird. Usually I get a phone call or email, alerting me to nominations.

Hi, Stephen....hi, Ben.....hi, Josh --

Thanks very much, guys. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I'm cranking away over here to leave for Worldcon in Glasgow tomorrow, so I've been a little occupied. But I appreciate it very much. Hope to see you guys in Madison, if you make it out there.

Josh, I'll see you in Austin later this month.

Very best,
John

Thanks, Irene, Luis, and Ann!!! I appreciate it.

Apologies for not responding until now. I just got home from Europe late last night, and I pretty much couldn't check email until late last night, and I think you posted the day I flew out for Worldcon.

Thank you so much for the kind sentiments. I'm very grateful for the honor of the nomination.

Richard -- sorry I won't see you at WFC this year! But to everyone else -- see you in Madtown. :-)
