Thanks to Lou Anders, Senior Editor of ARGOSY....the word is out.

Coppervale International's arts magazine INTERNATIONAL STUDIO now has its website up and pumping.

Check it out. INTERNATIONAL STUDIO just relaunched this summer and that relaunch issue is the current issue. It's a beautiful mag and Coppervale publisher/wunderkind James A. Owen is working feverishly to make each subsequent issue more beautiful than the last. It's quite an achievement in these days of "less thought for more money" in all things, including publishing. Sickly paperstocks, lower production values, thoughtless design. Look on any bookstore shelf and you'll see plenty of it. But it gets even worse when you scan the magazine shelves! That's why I think Coppervale's old-world values will prevail in today's market. Their attitude is the antithesis of all that downsizing of substance and design. There's just not very many entities anymore that know what those values are, much less care about them. Coppervale is working hard to produce a visionary modern arts magazine that's relevant to our times and a joy to hold in your hands.

I'm sure the next issue of INTERNATIONAL STUDIO will be even better than the first. And that's saying something. So if you haven't gotten your copy of the current issue, go get one. It's worth the effort. It's one of those rare magazines that you'll want to archive and slipcase on your shelf.

Same goes for ARGOSY MAGAZINE. That will be Coppervale's second major magazine launch and it won't debut until World Fantasy in November, but if you haven't gotten your subscription yet, go check out the ARGOSY website. If INTERNATIONAL STUDIO is any indication, then ARGOSY's ambition to re-invent the story magazine will be something to behold.

Props to Coppervale.
