Hi Michael. Was very nice to meet you last night. As discussed, here is the little essay on the MALPERTUIS film:

All well and good. But who are the International Brotherhood of Hamsters? All other things being equal?

They are the organization which owns and operates the International House of Hamsters - you may have seen one of their distinctive, habitrail-riddled blue A-frames in your neighborhood. Or smelled one.

Nice to see you here, Dr. Chapman. Reading the Coleridge biography here (MTC reading STC, PDQ) - in one passage, you may recall, Coleridge emerges from the fens at Fort Whozits, enters the pub, is overwhelmed with a violent fit of weeping, and almost immediately and copiously succumbs to diarrhoea. Mr. Holmes is a splendid biographer, but I suspect he is no diagnostician; he, like so many others, seems to have embraced the rule: when in doubt with Coleridge, blame the Kendal Black Drop. But what do you think?
