Vital Statistics:

Height -- 5'4". Hair -- brownish. Eyes -- brownish. Nickname -- 'meerkat.'

All else subject to change.

No, I'm not related to Carolyn Ives Gilman. Or Greer Ilene Gilman, although we think there _may_ be some crossing branches in the family tree somewhere. Or any other writing Gilman with the exception of my mom, Janet M. Gilman, whom you know only if you were reading The Massachussets Review and the like in the late 70's.

What I am, as my website (http://www.sff.net/people/lauraanne.gilman) says, is an editor. A writer. And a very tried person. Often all at once.

Details as they happen.

A very _tired_ person. Sheesh. Saw that one half a second after I hit "post," which sort of describes and defines my life...

You'll soon learn why I'm also known as the Princess Royale of Tyops.

Isn't everyone nicknamed meerkat these days? It's like meeting a two year-old girl named Madison...

It could be worse. Imagine if everyone was nicknamed 'Beetle'. Or 'Squid'.

I was the original meerkat, I'll have you know. And then there's my (more) evil twin, suricata...

Ooooh. I have heard tell of Suricata. Many are the stories I have heard of Suricata from me mum while crunching down on a nice beetle.

Website updated. Still no photo, as all attempts have resulted in a strange red-eyed blur and an empty whiskey glass. They're threatening to try again at Balticon. We'll see.
