That's right. You heard me.
Actually, I should have called this thread Important Announcements or something equally officious-sounding, but Important Announcements are Things You Need To Know About NOW. And since I normally get paid by the word, I think it's a good idea to reinforce the habit whenever I can.
First thing you should all know about, if you don't, is:
September 19 is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. For complete instructions on how to celebrate this unique and very special holiday, you can go to:
The latter site has a nifty poster you can download, print out, and display prominently.
Be practicin' yer best pirate-talkin' skills now, matey, yarr.

Even better than Original Disco! (But then, what isn't?)
for a graphic demonstration of a phenomenon that deserves at least 16 minutes of fame.
I stealth'd Miss Kitty Calgary this morning. Or rather, I tried to but, as usual, nothing gets by her. Normally, she would take a dim view of disco (exception: Tori Amos covering "Ring My Bell") but she seemed to approve of Stealth Disco. Especially when it comes with Pounce (non-stealth variety).

Very, very cool addition to the topic, MI--I salute you.
Once again, it proves the statement: "If it exists, someone will buy it, worship it, fear it, or collect it."
Also a lot of things that don't exist, for that matter.

I know what you're thinking:
What is the Defcon Alert Status today, and what does it mean?
Explains everything about how to save the homeland, except for how to save the homeland from the people who live there.

Miss Kitty Calgary, Queen of the Cats, has already placed her bid. I'm not even going to try to bid against her.

Nicholas, you have a keen sense of the zeitgeist.
And now for something completely useful:
I'm sure everyone in the world knew about this before I did, but just in case there's one last soul out there in the dark who just happens to read this topic:
