"Fall and Rise", the anthology of post-apocalyptic fiction, is done and gone. I am getting restless again. The editing bug seems to have totally infested my mind. I crave stories. So here I am, editing another anthology and inviting submissions. The working title is "SF Waxes Philosophical" and the guidelines are here: http://ahmedakhan.journalspace.com.

So come on, inundate me with submissions.

May I suggest a title? In Heaven and Earth, taken from Hamlet's line: "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

The Shakespeare quotation is very appropriate, Matt, and taking inspiration from your suggestion, I came up with another name: "More things for Horatio".

"In Heaven and Earth" is a good title but I think it is too broad. Another thing is that it makes the book sound spiritual rather than philosophical (though there is much common ground between the two).

What do you think?

How about More Dreams for Horatio? "Things" is perhaps too generic a word.

Or how about: Dream this, Horatio!

Hi Ahmed,

Are you saying all of the copies of "Rise and Fall" are sold? How many copies were printed? By chance do you recall if Peter Babiak ordered a copy? He's an English prof here in Vancouver, also edits a literary magazine called "subTerrain".

That's great you're doing another antho. Best of luck, and if I come up with something by the deadline I'll let you know.

Good suggestions, Matt. I am going give a deep think about the most appropriate title.

Hi, Bronwyn. I have sent you an email in response to your questions. Check it out.

Ahmed--

The link goes to a different publisher. The correct link is, I believe, http://www.zcbooks.ca/ .

Now, will that be available at Barnes & Noble or any other outlet? I maintain no buyer accounts on the net.

It will probably be available from Shocklines. I don't know about Barnes and Noble. You could email ZC Books (zc.press@gmail.com) and get more information on ordering.

I'm glad it's out. BTW, my address has changed if you're doing contributor's copies.

Could you email me your new address, Luke? I was actually going to ship your contributor's copy today but something came up that stopped me from doing so. I guess the powers of good are at work here.

Oh I see what happened, I received an email from you at an account I'm not diligently checking anymore. I've sent you my present address via email.

Thank you,
Luke
