This entry of mine having failed to win anything in the Fantasy category of the Bulwer-Lytton Contest for the second year in a row--I can only conclude that its quality is too high--I am posting it here:

Saurus stood gazing out the window of his high-rise penthouse and reflected wearily that yes, the relationship was over; but even though Freudo wanted to replace him with Slantwise as a domestic partner, it was just too typically melodramatic of him to trudge miles to throw a rather expensive and perfectly reusable gold commitment ring down a volcano.
